A big challenge for users of digital libraries (DL) is to find the relevant information/documents easy and quickly
and especially to use them efficient.
Some DLs offer a list of favorites or bookmarking-mechanisms, by which the user can save found entries for later
use. These concepts are often limited to the storing in lists and the opportunity to describe or tag them.
This work aim is the conception, implementation and evaluation of a virtual desktop to assist scientists search sessions visual. The virtual desktop should efficiently enable to drop, sort or automaticly group relevant documents, for example by authors, keywords and more. Similarities of the different documents should be presented graphically. Additionally, the user should also receive recommendations for additional documents bases on this output.
