The project intends to strengthen the training of PhD students and the capabilities of researchers in the key area of Multimedia Information Retrieval, through the network flows, through extensive use of Internet (setting up collaborative tools); and through the creation of a body of high-quality educational content delivered through Internet. In this way, we expect to achieve both sustainability of the network, and impact in the community outside it. In the research topic, the network should allow to strengthen the issues related to the Spanish language, to multi-linguality (especially latin languages), and some multimedia and structuring aspects.
